# Do purchases where I apply a coupon count toward my usage?

If a purchase is completely free (that is, it has a 100% discount), then this purchase will not be counted as a cycle in the 'Every X start' program, since this purchase does not use money to start the cycle. However, if the purchase receives a partial discount, such as 50%, it will be counted as a cycle in the 'Every X start'.
Therefore, the coupon works like a traditional punch card, where laundry users get every tenth cycle for free.
