What can I do when the payment terminal screen is black?
If you come to a payment terminal with a black screen here is what you need to do:
First try to simply push the turn on/turn off button that you can find on the right side of the terminal (you will need some sharper object that will allow you to push the button inside the hole, make sure you can feel that the button is being pushed)
Check if the payment terminal is connected to power and if there are no loose charging cables.
if neither of the previously mentioned steps helped it might be necessary to take the screen outside of its cover. For that, take the payment terminal off the wall and use the special key that has been sent with your purchase of the terminal to unlock the cage. After unlocking pull down the metal backside part and push the button holding the tablet at the bottom to take out the tablet.
Put the tablet itself for a couple of minutes to charge, just to make sure it is not on 0% battery life when trying other steps
Once it has charged for some time, try to push the turn on/turn off button together at the same time with the volume down button and try to hold it for a minimum of 7 seconds.
