Verifactu: common questions
New to Verifactu? Start here: Verifactu: what does it mean for my laundry in Spain?
What about cash and coin payments?
Airwallet reports only the payments made through Airwallet: the app, the wallet, cards and the Anton terminal.
Cash and coin payments do not go through Airwallet. Airwallet cannot report them. Record these payments in your own Verifactu-compliant till or invoicing system. Your tax adviser can help you choose one.
What happens when I refund a payment?
Airwallet reports the refund to AEAT automatically. The refund registers a record that reverses the original sale. You do not have to do anything.
I share revenue with another company. Who must complete the setup?
Each company that is registered in Spain must complete the setup. The receipt shows both companies as sellers.
- Both companies are registered in Spain: both complete the setup.
- Only one company is registered in Spain: only that company completes the setup.
My organisation has no NIF. What do I do?
You need a NIF to complete the setup. Chat with our support and tell us about your organisation.
My location is in the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla
These areas have a different tax system. Verifactu reporting through Airwallet does not cover them. Contact support if you have locations there.
I need to change my NIF or my signed document
You cannot edit an active NIF. To change it, save a new NIF in the Dashboard. The new NIF resets the setup, so you must sign and upload the mandate again.
To replace an active signed document, contact support.
When does Verifactu apply to my business?
The official dates depend on the type of business. Ask your tax adviser or AEAT for the date that applies to you.
