Installing Airwallet PRO330
WARNING! Disconnect power or turn off breaker prior to performing this installation.# A-Series, V-Series, N-Series and C-Series Washers
Opening the Machine
1. Power down the machine by unplugging or turning off the breaker.
2. Open the top of the machine using the standard Dexter key. You may need to remove the screws retaining the soap dish to remove the top completely. The top is hinged and should swing open.
Coin Connection (Standard Coin Drop)
1. Locate the coin drop harness for the machine. This harness will have 2 variations:
a. 3-color wire with RED,BLUE and GREEN wires (Indicates optical sensor)
b. 2-wire harness with black wires (Indicates mechanical drop)
2. If the machine has the 3 color harness, you will connect the Airwallet WIRE 3 to the GREEN wire and Airwallet WIRE 4 to the BLUE WIRE
3. If the machine has 2 black wires coming off the coin drop You will connect the Airwallet WIRES 3 and 4 to either BLACK wire.
4. If the machine has no coin drop, You can pulse the machine on the P2 connection on the main control board. All Dexters with electronic controls will have the P2 connection (X-Series excepted). You will want to connect Airwallet WIRE 3 to PIN 1 and Airwallet WIRE4 to PIN 2 of the P2 connector.
Power Connection
Dexter machines generally all use the same color-coded wires. RED wires or any wire with RED generally indicates 120v. BLUE or PURPLE wires, based on the age of the machine, generally indicates NEUTRAL. This will make finding power easier.
1. Locate the power distribution block inside the machine. Located in the electronics trough.
2. Dexter machines generally use a stepdown transformer to convert the 220v to 120v to run the machine.
3. The wires coming off the transformer are:
a. BLACK with RED stripe ( L or Live Wire) Airwallet WIRE 1 goes to this terminal
b. BLACK with BLUE stripe (N or Neutral Wire) Airwallet WIRE 2 goes to this terminal
4. You will want to crimp BLUE female spade connectors to WIRES 1 and 2 and connect to the terminal block at the appropriate connections.
5. Mount the reader in the machine as close to the front of the machine as possible for good signal.
A-Series and N-Series Dryers
Opening the Machine
1. Power down the machine by unplugging or turning off the breaker.
2. Open the control panel and slide it out using the Dexter key
Coin Connection (Standard Coin Drop)
1. Locate the coin drop harness for the machine. On these models of dryers, the coin connection is located on the front right side of the control board marked P2/RED

3. Using the 3M T-Tap connectors, Crimp the connectors onto the red or black coin wires and connect Airwallet WIRE 3 to one wire on the harness and Airwallet WIRE 4 to the other wire on this harness.

4. If the machine has no coin drop, you will need to connect directly to the unoccupied plug. You will want to connect Airwallet WIRE 3 to PIN 1 and Airwallet WIRE4 to PIN 2 of the P2 connector.
Single Pocket Dryers
Coin Connection (Standard Coin Drop)
1. Locate the Control harness for the machine. On these models of dryers, the coin connection and power connections are on the same 11-PIN connector.

2. This connection should have (2) wires located at Pins 8 and 9 of the main connector.
3. Using the 3M T-Tap connectors, Crimp the connectors onto the red or black coin wires and connect Airwallet WIRE 3 to one wire on the harness and Airwallet WIRE 4 to the other wire on this harness.

Power Connection
1. Locate the power connection on the control board marked P3

2. There will be a BLACK wire and WHITE wire separated by a blank pin. These are your 120v leads.
3. Crimp a 3M T-tap connector to the WHITE and BLACK wires on this harness. There should be 120v in these leads and should be checked with a meter prior to installation.

4. Connect Airwallet WIRE 1 to the BLACK wire.
5. Connect Airwallet WIRE2 to the WHITE wire.
6. Mount the reader in the pocket making sure to avoid snagging the tray or wires.

Power Connection
These models of dryers will have either 24vac or 120vac of power connected to the control board at the front of the machine. The last digits of the model number (ex. DC30X2XXXX-65) will tell you what voltage is available. There are 2 general models:
a. -65 120v at front of machine
b. -15 120v at rear of machine
Power connection for -65 model of dryer:
1. Locate the power connection on the control board marked P3

2. There will be a BLACK wire and WHITE wire separated by a blank pin. These are your 120v leads.

3. Connect an extension wire to the power terminal block at L1 and L2 or N
4. Mount the reader in the pocket making sure to avoid snagging the tray or wires.
Dashboard Setup
1. If the Dashboard programming has not been done prior, make sure to note the serial number or take pictures of the label on the bottom of the PRO400 unit.

2. Mount the Airwallet unit inside the machine using the mounting tape. It is recommended to mount the reader inside the front panel close to the control board or on the outside back of the machine to ensure a quality connection.
3. Once you have confirmed all connections are made, and the serial numbers are gathered you can reassemble the machine and proceed to the software setup.
